Non-mainstream settings such as PRUs and charities use Tute to provide their students with learning opportunities that may otherwise not be possible. By building a partnership, we can overcome challenges that often prevent students reaching their potential and pursuing their aspirations.

High quality teaching
Tute’s qualified teachers are improving outcomes for students from KS1-KS5 in over 30 subjects. Their passion for teaching, Tute’s pedagogically driven approach that is designed and refined to work in the online environment and help overcome barriers faced by students, enabling them to thrive.

We have packaged our lessons into a choice of curriculums that provide flexibility, suit different priorities, and work for varying budgets. Non-mainstream settings use one or a combination, depending on their needs.
How are non-mainstream settings using Tute?
For non-mainstream settings Tute is helping to engage some of the hardest to reach students. Our Learning Cloud is a genuinely inclusive online classroom where students can interact with teachers and with one another in the way that works best for them. Our subject specialists are helping to broaden curriculum offers and our small group lesson are reducing isolation for students unable to attend school.
Tute allows Chessbrook to create a structured timetable. Students can be working online from home on their core subjects with Tute in the morning and then join staff in the centre for face-to-face teaching and mentoring in the afternoon.
Using a mixture of both private and shared provision, Tute delivers a fixed weekly timetable (their KS4 Classroom) for KS4 students through a private Learning Programme. They also refer students on a short-term basis to our shared Virtual School.

West Sussex Alternative Provision College (APC) operates across seven locations in West Sussex, providing education for children and young people who have been permanently excluded, those at risk of exclusion and those out of school for medical reasons.
West Sussex APC partnered with Tute to provide robust online education to pupils unable to attend physical provision for a variety of reasons. Students have benefitted from a blend of Tute’s shared Virtual School and private Tute Go lessons has been used successfully by APC Online.

Tute provided breadth to the curriculum offer and enabled Harmony to deliver a private GCSE English course to their students as a group.
Their bespoke English lessons have encouraged good engagement and a tailored setting of tasks. Tute has been flexible to adapting lessons to meet the needs of their students.
Sandwell Community School teamed up with Tute early in 2020 to add breadth to their curriculum and to provide greater access for their students in core subjects. They use a range of shared and private programmes, ranging from shared Virtual School to support students who have been excluded for the short term, as well as private Tute Go programmes which allow their students to fill gaps in their learning and prepare them for re-joining mainstream school or moving on to college.
