“First of all, it’s hard to not commend Tute Education Ltd. for their quick launching into action amid a (third?) national lockdown. From the off-set they’ve thrived in an ever demanding online educational environment and have been announced as an official Tuition Partner in the National Tutoring Programme – which is fab- the credit they deserve (and I haven’t been paid to say that). I am proud to be part of this fab team, providing high-quality educational catch-up support during the ongoing pandemic.
Since beginning my Tute online tutor journey, I have been amazed at how much I’ve learned. I’m a NQT and throughout my PGCE I had a fab insight into how best to make use of the technology available to teach online- but nothing is quite like Tute’s platform that is ‘prescriptive not restrictive’ and allows my creative self to adapt each of my lessons to encourage pupil progress and really see my pupil flourish in an engaging online environment. Feedback from my pupils has been fab (thumbs up!).
It goes without saying that as online lessons and home learning have once again become the norm (for the now), pressure is being felt to provide the same level of learning to pupils as they would receive in ‘usual’ times, as well as continue to ensure their safety and wellbeing. In challenging times such as these, the combination of Tute’s online provision and engaging pedagogy not only put these priorities at their forefront, but also encourage inspirational, fun and ‘fizzy’ lessons with evident pupil progress.
Helping to combat potential ‘virtual fatigue’, it is so uplifting to get to know all my students – just a brief ‘hello’ to each other at the beginning of the lesson goes a long way! It is this prime interaction time that they’ll be missing – so it’s well worth incorporating to boost wellbeing and to create a sense of socialising (even if it is a virtual ‘high five’!).
Though, you may argue that there is no better substitute to the ‘real-deal’, I find satisfaction teaching online with Tute, I am my own advocate – for me, it is an opportunity to create more engaging, interactive experiences for my pupils, taking advantage of the available technology in a collaborative environment, motivating pupils to succeed. Moreover, the education is mutual, as I too am grateful to be constantly learning from my pupils as, together, we make this transition well into a new educational age- ‘preparing today’s youth for tomorrows world’.
A big thanks to the inspiring team of professionals!
